If your program is set to accept credit cards, you can test the policy purchase and issuance system by deactivating your program and entering in a test credit card number.  It's easy to do and gives you the exact experience your customer recieves. Note that test purchases appear in your reports, so be sure to delete them once you are done testing

To test the system and run a mock policy: 

1. Deactivate your payment gateway using your control panel. This will shut off all new purchases, so it is best to do this during off hours.
   
   Visit:    https://your-domain.insurecert.io/admin/programs (replace 'your-domain' with your real domain)
   
   Click the green "My Program" Name of the program you wish to test:

2. Deselect the "Active" checkbox to turn off payments.
   
   

3. Visit the Front End form where you create quotes and checkout using the test credit card number.
   
   You can now use the test credit card # 4242 4242 4242 4242 expiry:  any future date cvc:   any 3 numbers.  postal code:  any 5 digit zip code will work.

4. Submit an order and you'll get emails, invoices and all normal functionality surrounding the purchase workflow.

Be sure to turn the Active switch back on once you have run your test!
